Prism Medical UK will take on 50 staff at manufacturing sites in Bridgend and Rhyl after securing Welsh Government backing.
A funding support package of £363,000 will enable the creation of 21 jobs in Bridgend and 29 in Kinmel Bay, Rhyl, as well as protecting a further 135 positions.
Prism, which makes and supplies specialist equipment for handling and moving patients, had considered consolidating operations at existing sites with spare capacity to increase efficiencies and savings.
Earlier this year the company bought Mackworth Healthcare in Bridgend which operates in the same market, specialising in developing, making and supplying slings, hoists and shower chairs.
