An Airbus subsidiary based in Newport is expanding after winning a new contract with Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson’s aircraft maintenance business Cardiff Aviation.
Testia Ltd, an Airbus Group company, has announced a further expansion of its business with the supply of non-destructive testing (NDT) inspection services to St Athan-based Cardiff Aviation.
Brian Hall, CEO of Testia UK, said: “We are pleased to be supporting the success of Cardiff Aviation in St Athan, and Testia is proud to be able to further underline the continued growth of aerospace capabilities that are being developed in South Wales.”
The services to be supplied by Testia, as part of Cardiff Aviation’s existing contract for maintenance checks on Airbus A320 aircraft for a major UK low cost airline, include all the aircraft manufacturer mandated NDT inspections required to ensure the integrity of the aircraft and its continued safe operation.
Testia was launched in the UK in 2013 after more than 20 years’ experience in the field of non-destructive testing and training for both Airbus operations and aircraft operators worldwide.
It operates at the Airbus campus in Newport. To find out more visit the Testia UK web page.
