Merthyr Tydfil car parts manufacturer drives turnover

R-TEK the Merthyr Tydfil car parts supplier grew turnover in 2013 to almost £100m despite production falling in Merthyr Tydfil.

Manufacturing volumes at the R-TEK’s Merthyr Tydfil operation  have recently declined after the Welsh plant was adversely affected in 2011 by natural disasters in Japan and Thailand, which impacted its global supply chain. The company however has stated that manufacturing production in Wales is expected to “show improvement” as it works on the development of new Honda models for 2015.
