How to get support to manage sickness at work.
A health and work assessment and advisory service is to be introduced, offering free occupational health assistance for employees, employers and GPs. The service can provide an occupational health assessment after four weeks of sickness absence.
The Fit for Work advice service went live in December 2014 and the roll-out of the referral service started on 9 March 2015.
All Employers nationally will be able to refer eligible employees for an occupational health assessment from autumn 2015, once the roll-out to GP practices has ended.
