The latest Engineering and ICT quarterly economic survey from the South Wales Chamber of Commerce has shown that there is a drastic shortage of engineering and ICT skills in Wales.
The survey has shown that 95% of companies are now very optimistic about the future and are looking to either retain their existing workforce or recruit in the next three months. However surprisingly over 50% of companies have reported that they had experienced severe issues in recruiting for engineering and ICT job vacancies in the previous quarter.
