eef manufacturers organisation Manufacturers have called for a radical rethink in infrastructure policy across the UK.

The EEF who represent manufacturers in the UK have demanded the creation of a permanent UK Infrastructure Authority to address what they see as the severe issues that are causing many of the countries major economic problems thereby addressing the UK’s long term strategic infrastructure requirements. The EEF is looking to facilitate debates on the severe infrastructure challenges it has highlighted thereby encouraging larger investment to support growth and competitiveness.

The call by EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation in a a recent report is attempting to bring to and end the years of political wrangling and poor planning that causd so many infrastructure issues. It follows continued worries over the UK’s poor road, rail, airport and energy infrastructure, which is a major issue for half of foreign owned firms when deciding where to invest according to a recent EEF survey.
