Oracle Application Developers - Why You Should Apply
Tired of just being given a spec and told to build it, without any input into what you're creating or the reasons behind it?
Take ownership from start to finish: You'll be involved from the very first chat with a business user through to go-live. There's no middleman handing you a spec to churn out. You'll discover what's needed, design it, build it, and then experience first-hand how your work makes a difference.
Access to a wide range of EBS modules: Including, Inventory, Purchasing, WIP, WMS, Order Management/Shipping Execution, BOM, Engineering, ASCP, MRP, GL, FA, AP, AR, Costing and EDI Gateway. You don't need to know them all!
Work with the latest tech: Many existing APEX applications to support and more to develop. You'll be leading the upgrade to APEX 26.1 to utilise the latest capabilities to improve business processes and modernise our development lifecycle.

Your salary, benefits & hours of work
- Up to £55,000, and company pension contributions of up to 10%.

- Working hours are 7:45 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday, and 7:45 am to 1:30 pm on Friday. You'll be based on site five days a week at a busy Cardiff manufacturing site.
What you'll do as the Lead Oracle Applications Developer
You'll join a small, close-knit IT team and take responsibility for Oracle EBS and APEX development at a large manufacturing business.
- Enhance, support and optimise the Oracle E-Business Suite (R12.2) environment.
- Design and build modern Oracle APEX applications, both standalone and integrated with EBS.
- Lead requirements gathering with business users and run projects end-to-end.
- Troubleshoot complex technical and functional issues across EBS modules and interfaces.
- Maintain and enhance a small portfolio of supporting VB.NET and Python applications.
- Prototype new tools and process improvements to keep systems ahead of the business.
What you'll need to apply for the Lead Oracle Applications Developer position
- Oracle EBS experience, functional and technical.
- Oracle APEX experience.
- Able to own the full project lifecycle end to end, gathering requirements directly from business users rather than a heads-down-only developer.
- Able to work on site in Cardiff five days a week.
