Opportunity for experienced welding technicians to join one of the leading automotive engineering companies. Double days shift & night shift options available.
The business has been established for over 50 years, incorporating new technologies into their manufacturing processes and developing traditional technologies. Producing an extensive product range produced from steel to aluminium.
As the welding technician you will ensure the day-to-day quality and production targets are maintained on all robot cells, including re-pointing and repairs. Detailed responsibilities include: -
- Ensuring poka yoke systems are in good working order and challenge procedures are carried out
- Ensuring daily production targets are maintained on all pedestal welders
- Assisting the project engineers in the process capability of components being welded or riveting and the installation and commissioning of all robot cells
- Assisting quality on all customer concerns and implement 8D improvements
- Re-pointing or adjusting robots to ensure quality and quantity
- Attending to all equipment breakdowns and resolving or escalating problems
- Developing and maintaining breakdown records on all process equipment
- Modifying equipment programs to maintain quality
- Constantly looking at ways to reduce costs through continuous improvement
To apply for the welding technician position, you will need the following: -
- Previous experience as a welding technician
- Experience within a production environment
In return, the welding technician will receive a salary of £30,300 - £31,800 per annum including shift allowance + overtime + company pension + 25 holidays (excluding the bank holidays).
Salary offered is dependent on shift work. Overtime is time and a half for Saturdays until 2pm, double time for Saturdays after 2pm and Sundays.
