Opportunity for an experienced multiskilled maintenance technician to join one of the leading automotive engineering companies. Double days shift & night shift options available.
The business has been established for over 50 years, incorporating new technologies into their manufacturing processes and developing traditional technologies. Producing an extensive product range produced from steel to aluminium.
As the multiskilled maintenance technician you will ensure that all general mechanical and electrical maintenance work is carried out effectively and efficiently across all areas of the site. Detailed responsibilities include: -
- Review the preventative maintenance plan weekly and report any concerns
- Preventive maintenance to include tests, measurement, adjustments, parts replacement and cleaning to prevent faults occurring
- Preventive care and servicing of maintenance equipment by providing systematic inspection, detection and correction of incipient failures either before they occur or develop into major defects
- Ensure all equipment you are working on or with is safe and fit for the purpose
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures are adhered to
- Maintain good housekeeping practices in any given work area
- Assisting in decreasing the number of maintenance operations to reduce the risk of errors
- Identify cost cutting savings within the maintenance department and throughout operations
- Mechanical/electrical press, plant and site repairs in accordance with maintenance report procedure
- Carry out regular and routine work on equipment to prevent breakdowns

- Experience as a maintenance technician within a production environment
- Served mechanical or electrical apprenticeship
In return, the multiskilled maintenance technician will receive a salary of £31,863 - £35,035 per annum including shift allowance + overtime + company pension + 25 holidays (excluding the bank holidays).
Days shift salary of £31,863 - £32,760 including shift allowance and night shift salary of £34,138 - £35,035 including shift allowance. Overtime is time and a half for Saturdays 6am-2pm, and double time for Sundays.
