Job Details
Machinist required to work for a manufacturing business that has exceptionally busy order books. This role will be an initial 6 month fixed term appointment to assist through a busy period but there is a strong possibility of the role becoming permanent.
The machinist will work as part of a small team and will use a variety of workshop equipment to help the company meet demands as they strive to deliver a bespoke solution to their customers. You will work days Monday to Friday
As the machinist responsibilities will include:
- Performing operational functions using a variety of CNC Machining Centres.
- Offline programming for various engineering parts using CAMWorks software.
- Mould making working to close tolerances.
- The setting, operating and manufacturing a variety of mould components.
- Working per company quality standards
- Managing time effectively to ensure deadlines are met
- Maintaining a safe working environment whilst following health & safety procedures and policies at all times.
- Proactively identifying and making recommendations for improvements.
To apply for the machinist position, you will need:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Control experience to include Fanuc, Heidenhain, Haas, etc.
- CAMWorks experience is desirable
- Deep hole drilling would be advantageous.
- Centre Lathe experience would be advantageous
In return, the machinist will receive a salary of £18 per hour-£22 per hour (dependent on experience - equivalent to £35,000-£43,000 per annum) + paid overtime, etc.
