Job Details
Launch Manager (New Product Introduction Manager) required to work for an established global manufacturing company that has secure order books through to 2028. The site employs 200+ staff and has a strong Lean and CI culture on site.
The launch manager will join at a key time of a large new product introduction process and will take responsibility for the introduction of new components with an assigned client acting as the focal point for the customer. There will also be a good opportunity for future progression.
As the launch manager, your duties will include:
- Responsibility for implementation of new products and production processes
- Overseeing process flows, equipment specifications, etc.
- Working closely with other departments (technical, engineering, quality, production, logistics, purchasing, etc. to achieve launch / new product introduction goals
- Acting as the new product introduction project manager
- Compiling reports as required for all stakeholders
- Ensuring that agreed dates and timescales can be met
- Monitoring and observing costs to ensure budgets are adhered to
- Ensuring that products are introduced in line with Lean and CI initiatives
- Travelling as required to visit with customers in-person for meetings
To apply for the Launch Manager / New Product Introduction Manager role, you will need:
- Experience in being involved in new product introduction / launch processes in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Experience in working with plastic / injection moulded products is desirable
- Experience of working with companies such as BMW, Toyota, etc. is desirable
- A formal technical qualification (preferably degree level)
- Familiarity with tools and techniques such as FMEA, PPAP, APQP, 8D, etc.
- Knowledge of TS16949 as a quality standard
In return, the launch manager will receive a salary of £40,000-£43,000 (dependent on experience) + pension, private medical, potential bonus, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, etc.
