Job Details
Graduate SQL developer required to join a successful, well-renowned organisation that offers an excellent benefits package. The company offers stable employment and has been in operation for 150+ years.
As the SQL developer, you will provide support for a current implementation project onsite for a new warehouse management system. Following the completion of this project, you will provide ongoing support to users of the system inclusive of making changes to solve issues or improve the system.
There will be some scope longer term for hybrid working as part of the role.
Graduate SQL developer duties will include:
- Monitoring and controlling of business systems on-site.
- Assisting with system upgrades, rollout and performance monitoring
- System improvements and changes such as building reports, new pages, etc.
- Acting as second-line support for the systems
- Testing any critical changes before they go live to ensure the robustness of the systems
- Troubleshooting issues and putting in place measures to prevent reoccurrence
- Providing training and guidance to users as required
- Ensuring any technical documentation that is required is in place or updated as required
To apply for the graduate SQL developer position, you will need:
- Good knowledge of SQL databases and queries
- A degree-level IT or computing-related qualification is desirable
- An understanding of networking protocols and principles
- Experience in warehouse management systems is desirable
- To be able to create technical documentation and work instructions in a clear format
- Good communication skills to be able to articulate solutions and provide guidance to users
In return, the graduate SQL developer will receive a salary of £22,000 - £25,000 (dependent on experience - possibly more for the right person) + a company pension contribution of up to 11%, 25 holidays plus bank holidays, etc.
