Opportunity for a chief commercial officer (CCO) to join a full telecommunication services provider which delivers mobile, broadband, fixed-line, data centre and enterprise solutions to a diverse customer base in Jersey, Guernsey, and the Isle of Man, alongside cloud services to customers in many other locations around the world. Relocation support is available. Due to Chanel Island visa rules, the position will initially be on a 3-year contract, with a view to extension.

As the chief commercial officer (CCO), you will be responsible for: -
Leading, directing and managing all aspects of the commercial performance of the consumer segment to drive revenue growth. The company's strategy is to grow the consumer segment revenue through significant investment in gigabit networks, skills, and systems, which will deliver a fantastic in-home experience and simple to use digital channels. You will formulate the consumer elements of this strategy and its execution, driving the team's high performance, innovating, and delivering revenue growth.
The revenue performance of the Mobile, Broadband, Fixed Line and Devices segments across the markets of Guernsey, Jersey, and the Isle of Man, around 60% of business revenue is derived from this consumer segment. The company's position in each market and segment is different, requiring a strategy in each location. Moving beyond traditional revenue streams in these segments and markets is also key to the ambition of revenue growth. Developing digital channels and moving to a much more digital orientation for sales and service will also be an essential ingredient of the strategy.
Developing the consumer team's culture to be more commercial, customer, data-driven, and ultimately growth-oriented. Reviewing the organisation and processes to ensure that the appropriate skills, approach, suppliers, and resources are in place. You will drive a change in approach so that growth momentum is created by investment in longer-term opportunities, particularly beyond existing revenue streams.
Overseeing the company brand and all marketing communications across the entire business, consumer and business segments, and the islands of the South Atlantic and Diego Garcia. Evolving the brand positioning and marketing communications to be aligned to the strategy and to drive the business's commercial performance.
To apply for the chief commercial officer (CCO) position, you will need the following: -
- Degree-level education, ideally an MBA
- An excellent understanding of evolving digital IT, telecommunications technologies and the marketplace
- Comprehensive marketing or business development experience in positions of increasing responsibility with a focus on digital marketing expansion
- Significant experience in a leadership role
- Experience in managing the commercial aspects of a significant consumer telecommunications operation, including P&L experience
- Superb analytical skills and experience with developing marketing capabilities, processes and data models
The chief commercial officer (CCO) will receive a competitive salary + accommodation allowance, company pension, health scheme, bonus scheme, relocation allowance, and 25 holidays (excluding bank holidays).
