Llanelli manufacturer reports record sales growth.

Excellent results at Schaeffler has been attributed to improved productivity (with turnover exceeding £70m), at its manufacturing plant in Llanelli Wales which was the centre of a continued investment programme at the group last year.

It was also revealed that the company is seeking opportunities to “underpin further expansion” at the Llanelli plant, which currently employs about 250 staff.

Schaeffler develops and manufactures precision products for everything that moves – in machines, equipment, and vehicles as well as in aviation and aerospace applications – with its INA, LuK, and FAG brands.

The manufacturing giant experienced a sales growth of 18 per cent in its automotive operation last year compared to 2012 and achieved a “record year” in terms of new projects.
