Caldicot-based Microsemi Corporation has secured £320,000 in EU funding towards its £2.5m Medilight project. Welsh Government finance minister Jane Hutt said that the company had successfully bid for the investment from Horizon 2020, an EU research and innovation programme.
The company makes semiconductors for the communications, defence and security, aerospace and industrial sectors.
