Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician

Salary: £20,000 - £22,000 + Bens + OT
Days 8.30am - 4.30pm - Monday - Friday

The Role:
Wide ranges of mechanical and electrical skills are used to ensure the operational integrity and reliability of plant and equipment, associated with production.

Without supervision promptly attends machinery breakdowns, practices systematic fault diagnosis and repairs in optimum time, ensuring minimum downtime and product loss.

Fully contributes to planned preventative maintenance programs. Adhering to SOP's and completing necessary documentation. Skilled judgements are made to ensure plant is maintained to optimum level.

Undertakes registration and installation of new plant / equipment, calculating necessary services, completing documentation, assisting in commissioning and giving instructions on operating techniques.

Responsibility is accepted for the safe and proper working conditions of equipment. Recommendations are made for unscheduled maintenance where potential problems are recognised.

Maintaining close co-operation with all other departments to attain continual improvement in performance and standards of quality and reliability.

The Candidate:

Time served maintenance apprenticeship in either electrical or mechanical engineering.
Experienced gained ideally in the food or pharmaceutical industry
