Engineering Manager

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + car allowance + pension + medical cover

The Role:

Provide overall management strategy, direction and leadership including clear vision and goals for the factory engineering work team.
Responsible for producing high quality and low cost product.
Provides training for engineer and technicians.
Provide necessary tools for engineer and technicians to develop knowledge and skills
Monitor production results and make suggestions to improve the manufacturing cost, yield, efficiency, cycle time
Manage utilities and layout of the factory
Manages engineering team's personnel.
Responsible for development and managing the engineering work workflow.
Responsible for the safety and security in the engineering area.
Ensure engineering staff members have clear understanding of group and department goals and objectives are met.
Maintain daily communication with engineering staff.
Responsible for submitting weekly engineering report.

The Candidate:

Several years experience in a high volume-manufacturing environment with a proven track record and experience of supervising/managing a production team.
Preferably degree qualified in relevant engineering discipline..
Basic skill of CAD is desirable
Capacity to deal with problems involving multiple variables and pressure.
Must be able to read and interpret technical specifications.
Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must have good human relation skills to handle heavy interaction with variety of persons. (i.e. customer and vendor)
ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 knowledge and experience is required
Strong problem solving skills and ability to learn new concepts quickly.
Good financial acumen.
