Maintenance Engineer / Electrical Engineer
Salary: £32,000 salaried
3 on 3 off 12 Days - NO NIGHTS SHIFTS
Might involve some nights shifts in the future
The Role:
To drive improvements in the machine performance within the designated area by working directly with the process. To support the maintenance Engineers, developing the technical skills within the operational teams through leadership examples. To be responsible for the daily maintenance and upkeep the assets within the designated area
Main Responsibilities
To support the section Engineer and shift management team with technical advice and breakdown support.
To work proactively with the Section Engineer and shift management team to identify opportunities for improvement in plant performance, process and procedures.
Use PPM methods to develop detailed annual maintenance plans to minimise downtime & maximise uptime.
To assist the section Engineer with the technical specification, design and procurement of capital investment projects in the designated zone to meet operational requirements within time and budget constraints.
To act as ‘duty holder' for the maintenance of technical documentation, drawings and equipment history for the assets in the designated zone.
To communicate and review planned maintenance requirements, to make possible implementation of the plan and to monitor and report on achievement.
To ensure that all technical work including that by contractors is managed in line with health and safety legislation, local procedures and current standards.
The Candidate:
Must be a highly skilled Technician ready to step up to Engineer level or currently be a Maintenance Engineer
In depth PLC programming skills are essential
Experience of PPM systems is essential
Management / supervisory
The Maintenance Engineer / Electrical Engineer role would suit candidates who are currently a maintenance technician, multi skilled maintenance engineer, maintenance engineer, electrical technician, mechanical technician, electrical engineer, electrical maintenance engineer, maintenance engineer etc
