Production Manager / Manufacturing Manager

Salary: Up to £30,000 Depending on experience, maybe more for the right candidate

The Role:

To carry the sole responsibility for the managing and running of the Production department, to organise departmental staff with work procedures in order to meet delivery dates and times demanded by the customer. To ensure all Production employees are keeping in line with procedures laid down in the Staff Handbook.

Develop and maintain a production plan satisfying Group and customer demands.
Manage staff and machinery to aspire to achieve objectives and targets of the production plan.
Manage efficient production and achieve cost objectives.
Develop improved methods of manufacture and production.
Maintain and improve quality.
Increase productivity, profitability and efficiency whilst maintaining discipline and resolving production problems.
Motivate workforce to achieve objectives of the production plan.
Develop growth of the production department and encourage the future development of the business.
Keep accurate records of machining times, downtime, etc.
Keep secure confidential information.
Introduce and maintain systems for avoiding bottlenecks in inspection and dispatch.
Develop a policy for individuals to be more responsible for their own work, encouraging and rewarding ideas and efforts to improve efficiency and standards.
Comply with all health and safety procedures and regulations as laid down by the Quality Manager.

The Candidate:

Experience gained as a production manager within a fast paced manufacturing environment is essential.
Formal management qualifications would be an advantage but not essential

The Production Manager / Manufacturing Manager / Production Manager role would suit candidates who are a manufacturing manager, production manager, production shift manager etc
