Salary: £23,000 - £28,500, possibly up to £29K for an exceptional candidate + Bens

Permanent & Fixed Term Contract roles available

The Role:

The primary function of this role is to design, develop and evaluate all mechanical components for products from initial conception through to mass production

Involvement in all aspects of design and development of plastic, metal and wood components, from initial concept to production.
Carry out concept origination and engineering using 2D/3D CAD Software and liaising with suppliers and other internal departments.
Create and maintain a Design Justification and Design History for all designs
Design in line with reliability safety requirements, incl. internal and EN standards
Issue and maintain all associated drawings, specification and documents (eg component specs, assembly instructions)
Create New Component Evaluation plans & carry out evaluation
Resolve issues identified during the development, following assessments and recommendations from the R&D Laboratory Engineers

The Candidate:

HNC or above in Mechanical engineering discipline or related is required.
Minimum of two years experience in a mechanical design role
Ideally familiar with Catia V5 (other 3D modeling packages will be considered)
