Planning Engineer / Maintenance Planner

Salary: c£19,000 - £35,000 Depending on experience
6 - 12 fixed term contract highly likely to be made permanent

The Role:

Responsible to the Senior Planning & Scheduling Engineer for the operation, development and continuous improvement of Engineering Maintenance Plans for a specific local department.

To prepare and manage local maintenance and shutdown plans.
To prioritise and resource work requests for planned maintenance
To organise and control mobile plant and equipment
To authorise requisitions and stock issues
To manage spares levels, logistics and quality
To control repair specifications, standards and repair compliance
To ensure that appropriate engineering control standards are in place
To support the training and competence of local personnel
To monitor and ensure the completion of adequate feedback, history and rescheduling/ completion of work

The Candidate:
The individual should be qualified to degree standard in a relevant engineering discipline OR have extensive experience in maintenance planning
It is highly desirable for the individual to have detailed knowledge of the Plant Maintenance and Materials Management modules of SAP.
The job holder will require appropriate communication and drive to learn the detail of the respective plant. They will need to be flexible to the changing demands of the plant and be able to coach the local engineering resource to improve the effectiveness of the engineering plans.
