Quality Manager / Quality Systems Manager

Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 + Benefits

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Technical Manager (must be able to provide cover for Technical Manager in their absence).

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and relationship building skills with experience in a food manufacturing environment. Experience of dealing with UK retailers in person and meeting the technical requirements of retailers is essential.

This position includes responsibility for the following:

- Ensuring production site meets the standards of BRC and major UK retailers with regard to safety, quality and legality of product.
- Supplier evaluation / approval and ongoing risk assessment
- Control of non-conforming product
- Internal auditing
- Supporting NPD department with the maintenance and updating customer specifications (requires knowledge of systems such as Micros, JS Inspire, HARA documentation, etc).

Liasing with customers and suppliers is critical.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and relationship building skills with experience in a food manufacturing environment and experience in meeting the requirements of UK retailers.

Additional knowledge required (formal training desirable) in:

HACCP
Internal auditing
Food Safety
Food Science / Technology

The Quality Manager / Quality Systems Manager / QA Manager role would suit candidates who are currently a QA Administrator, Quality Administrator, Technical Administrator, QA Technician, quality manager, technical manager, food scientist etc
