Quality Technician

Salary: £19.000 - £23,000 + shift allowance (three shift pattern)

The Role:

Perform routine, repetitive quality control functions on a daily basis.
Ensures a steady flow of products and labor to generate quality products and avoid rejections.
Evaluate outsource vendors
Perform electrical signal inspection of the product
Perform cosmetic inspection
Communicate the testing result accurately to QC Manager for the product disposition and process optimizing.
Entering test data into computer and file the test data and archived material daily.
Investigate cause of production defect and take action to co-ordinate improvements (containment actions).
Reviewing, updating or creation of QC relative procedures in accordance with ISO9001

The Candidate:

HNC Engineering would be desirable, however we are also looking at those with QC qualifications and/or experience.
This position requires visual acuity to see the small defect.
ISO 9001 experience is desirable
Good working knowledge of office software (Excel, Word etc).
Excellent problem solving & decision making skills
Experience with report writing, evaluation of products, and interpretation of test result
Ability to work alone with minimal supervision
Able to do 8 hours shift working (day or night shift including weekend)

The Quality Technician / QA Technician / QC Technician role would suit candidates who are currently a quality assurance technician, quality inspector, qa technician, qc technician etc
