Product Development Technologist / NPD Technologist / Food Scientist

Salary: Up to c£25,000 + Ben Depending on experience
8 - 4pm Monday to Friday

The Role:
Managing the development of new products and product improvements, from initial formulation to full factory production

Calculation of ingredient, recipe and finished product costings
Sourcing, testing, determining the specification and specifying the use of, new ingredients, industrial flavorings, additives and processing aids .
Hosting both internal and external customer product sampling panels , evaluating results and achieving target product profile .
Maintaining awareness of industry trends, consumer requirements and the availability of novel ingredients and processing aids .

The Candidate: 


Suitable qualification to HND or BSc Food Technology or related subject or 3 years experience in a similar role .
Experience of successful product launches into the major retailers and compliance with documented BRC requirements .
Experience of completing product and ingredient safety evaluations, retailer specifications, castings analysis, and definition of meat content calculations.
Driving license and own transport is essential.
