Quality Engineer

Salary: up to £29,000 depending on experience

The Company: Leading manufacturing organisation with a long track record within South Wales.

The Role:

Reporting to the Quality Manager responsible for:-

• Full time Quality Engineer supporting quality elements of new component development and series improvements on products
• Travel to toolmaker / gauge manufacturer to buy-off processes in line with customer & plant expectations
• Ensuring that components meet the defined and agreed specification through hands on audit at point of manufacture
• Pivotal role in smooth introduction of components to plant from development phases.
• Constantly challenge the current process performance
• Direct liaison with customer Supplier Quality Representatives
• Presentations of project status to internal and external customers
• Champion of quality able to advise on process ability to meet customer specification
• Format data into documents suitable for submission to customers and for presentation in house to senior management

The Candidate:

Ideally qualified to degree level in mechanical / polymer engineering related subject.
Experience gained in the Automotive or Injection Moulding sectors would be preferred.
Knoledge of most of the following is required:-
PPAP
Gauge R&R studies
Capability studies
CMM report analysis
Control plan & FMEA generation and audit
German / Chinese language skills desirable
