Holds a 2:1 BSc product design degree and experience with CAD (mainly solid edge). Good knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection moulding, and has designed with materials such as wood, plastics and some metals. Purchasing skills include supplier reviews, implementing dual supply, price negotiation and implementing KPI’s and CAPs. Familiar with MRP systems and uses them for purchasing, planning and sales. Experience of managing a team of 5 within a purchasing environment and is responsible for production planning and stores. Familiar with calibrating and maintaining various instrumentation equipment including pressure/temperature sensors, thermocouples (type k) radar and ultrasonic transmitters.
